What are the common problems of CNC fiber cutting machines?
If you encounter the following problems, please contact us and our technicians will provide you with the best service.
1. Cutting quality problems
The cutting edge is not smooth or the cross section is rough.
It may be caused by laser power fluctuation, focusing lens position offset, insufficient auxiliary gas pressure or blade blunting.
Surface burrs will also appear when the cutting material exceeds the capacity of the equipment.
Cutting size deviation or graphic misalignment.
Caused by incorrect software parameter settings (such as pulse number, speed, etc.) or wear of the mechanical transmission system (guide rails, belts).
Static interference or loose motor synchronous wheel will cause the cutting path to deviate.
Incomplete cutting or partial non-cut-off
Optical path offset, insufficient laser power, too fast cutting speed or material thickness does not match the equipment power.
2. Equipment operation failure
Abnormal laser light output
No laser output: loose power cord, damaged laser or cooling system failure (such as water level switch leakage).
Intermittent laser: unstable voltage, blocked water circulation or poor contact of signal line.
Equipment startup or reset failure
No action after startup: power supply not connected or motherboard parameter error.
Reset limit: limit switch signal abnormal or software parameter setting error.
Motor and transmission system failure
Inaccurate feeding or jitter: roller wear, motor drive abnormality or poor sensor contact.
Abnormal movement of the trolley: loose slider, deformed guide rail or eccentric synchronous wheel.
3. Cooling and heat dissipation problems
Equipment overheating alarm
Cooling system blockage, water temperature too high or ambient temperature exceeds heat dissipation capacity.
When the cooling capacity is insufficient, the heat sink needs to be cleaned or a high-power chiller needs to be upgraded.
Abnormal circulation pump
Insufficient suction: liquid viscosity is too high or the pipeline is blocked.
The pump does not work: insufficient liquid level or motor failure.
4. System and software problems
Control panel failure
Loose motherboard connection cable or damaged panel button.
Abnormal online data
Data cable is not plugged in firmly, USB driver is not installed or software version is incompatible.
5. Maintenance and loss issues
Optical component contamination
Dust accumulation on the lens or lens will cause the optical path to deviate and the cutting accuracy to decrease, and needs to be cleaned regularly.
Mechanical component wear
Guides, sliders, belts, etc. are prone to loosening after long-term use and need to be calibrated and replaced regularly.
Summary
Common problems of CNC fiber cutting machines mainly focus on cutting quality (rough edges, dimensional deviation), equipment operation (laser abnormality, startup failure), cooling system (overheating, pump abnormality) and mechanical loss (loose guide rails, optical contamination).
Comprehensive maintenance parameter calibration, component cleaning and system upgrades can effectively reduce the failure rate.
